Pre-sales Consultant – Cyber Security We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity with a leading UK-based security consultancy that specialises in providing Penetration Testing as a Service .
This company is rapidly growing and is seeking a skilled Pre-sales Consultant to join their Sales team and provide technical expertise throughout the sales process.
The Role: As a Pre-sales Consultant, you will work closely with the Sales Director to assist the sales team in delivering technical pre-sales support, primarily focused on Penetration Testing and Cyber Security services.
You will play a key role in determining the scope of work for various products and services, ensuring clients receive the best possible experience throughout the sales journey.
Most client interactions will take place via phone or video calls, but occasional onsite meetings may be required.
You will also work with internal teams to create comprehensive proposals that reflect the scope of work needed, positively influencing the sales process.
Key Responsibilities: Technical Support & Scoping: Act as the primary technical contact for clients, ensuring accurate scoping of Penetration Testing and other Cyber Security services.
Proposal Development: Assist the sales team in generating detailed proposals using automated tools, based on the scoped work.
Trusted Advisor: Serve as a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders throughout the sales cycle.
Sales Presentations: Present technical aspects during client meetings and sales presentations.
Identify Opportunities: During scoping engagements, identify potential business opportunities and communicate them to the sales team.
Process Improvement: Support the Senior Pre-sales Consultant in refining the pre-sales process and enhancing the overall service offering.
About You: The ideal candidate will have experience in Pre-sales or Technical Client Support within a B2B environment, ideally with exposure to Cyber Security or Networking.
You should be comfortable in a client-facing role, with excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and internal teams.
Key Qualifications & Skills: Previous experience in pre-sales or technical support within a B2B environment is essential.
Knowledge of Cyber Security or Penetration Testing is a plus, but a strong passion for the field is highly valued.
Proven ability to handle client objections, understand their needs, and offer solutions that positively influence decision-making.
Experience with creating RFPs and tender responses.
Ability to collaborate with internal departments and support a smooth customer journey.
