We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Lewisham to assist with the appointment of a Premises Officer , on a 3- month contract , highly likely to be extended at clients discretion.

Rate of Pay: £17.25 - £22.13 per Hour Responsibilities: To ensure Adult Learning Lewisham and designated community premises are secure, clean, warm.
Under the guidance of the Premises Team Leader and/or Premises and Facilities Manager to provide a safe environment for staff, service users and visitors; ensuring full compliance with health and safety legislation.
To be responsible holding and securing premises keys for purpose of the opening and closing of centres; ensuring that effective locking up and opening procedures are followed and provide access to internal areas as appropriate i.e.
to scheduled contractors, centre users etc.
To be responsible for portering duties, general maintenance and minor repairs at all locations.
Monitoring, identifying and reporting premises related jobs, equipment faults through the FM helpdesk where required.
To action daily centre related tasks and those set out on the premises team task system, this includes responding to room setups, room resource requests, water flushing, alarm testing etc.
Take responsibility for the collection and distribution of incoming mail, parcels and other deliveries.
Ensure that all mail (some of which will be confidential) and deliveries are held securely; with due regard for data protection regulations (GDPR).
Qualifications: First Aid qualification or willingness to obtain one Experience: Experience of carrying out minor repairs Experience of effectively working with staff and members of the public Experience of ensuring building security and of being a secure key holder Experience of ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations Experience of ensuring heating and ventilation systems are fit for purpose Experience of ensuring safe access to/from buildings for service users Experience of maintaining an inventory of furniture and equipment Experience of monitoring and resolving building or equipment maintenance defects Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
