The Role Working with the PR Manager, you will be responsible for running the press office, launching new products and PR campaigns to media, and proactively landing stories in key media titles to maximise earned media coverage Key Duties & Responsibilities; Successful management of press office output, ensuring proactive and reactive opportunities are utilised Build and maintain excellent relationships with key specialist and consumer media, increasing share of voice in key print, digital and broadcast media Supporting with local content creation (press releases, bylines, comments, campaign briefs) Supporting the PR Manager in building annual, quarterly, and project/launch PR plans, delivering against the business objectives Ensure effectiveness and efficiency of all PR activity, reporting to the wider business and supporting with ad-hoc reporting requests Deputise for the PR Manager where required Supporting Segment Marketing Managers on evaluating and activating sponsorship and ambassador opportunities for PR purposes Managing award submissions and licensing across all categories Support the PR Manager on daily duties where required, including day-to-day admin tasks Supporting with budget management, raising PO's and invoices Maintain a good level of professional knowledge of PR (inc. news, key competitors, cultural insights, industry standards & trends, etc.).
Build and maintain an excellent knowledge of Garmin products, the Garmin brand and the markets we serve Education & Experience; · Experience in a similar PR role, agency experience desirable (4+ years) · Experience in crisis communications is desirable · Experience in building creative campaigns for consumer media · Experience in consumer products desirable · Must be a confident communicator and presenter, with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills · Capable of applying logic and reasoning to all aspects of work · Excellent project management and organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy environment · Be exceptionally proactive, reliable, responsible, and accurate with strong attention to detail · Excellent interpersonal and relationship development skills · Demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and resourcefulness · Has a passion to succeed, a positive attitude and a team player Has a solid understanding of the overall media landscape, understanding what makes a good news story, and possess existing media relationships across consumer and segment media What we can offer you; Private Medical & Dental Enhanced Holidays, including birthday and work anniversary days Company Events Product Discounts Employee Assistance Program Enhanced Pension Hybrid Working Model (2 days from home per week after probation) Experience with a global brand
