Role Responsibility:PORTERING MANAGERSalary: £38,000 - £40,000 per annumWorking Hours: Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pmLocation: Churchill Hospital, Oxford, OX3 7LEG4S Facilities Management we have an exciting opportunity for a Portering Manager to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis based at Churchill Hospital, Oxford.We are looking for a dynamic and innovative individual who possesses great leadership skills and is passionate about driving positive change.
You will help lead a high quality, timely, responsive, cost-effective and proactive portering service at a fast-paced and busy hospital.ResponsibilitiesDeploy a team of employees, assessing workload schedules and allocating resources as required whilst prioritising urgent requests and remaining within labour budgets.Take full responsibility for Health and Safety.Control and issue all portering equipment and materials within budget limits.Oversee the reporting of maintenance defects of portering equipment and materials, according to set procedures.Assist in implementing portering policies to agreed standards.Assist in the assessment of costs associated with any ad-hoc work requested ensuring an efficient and cost-effective service.Undertake the completion of an appropriate quality audit system on a quarterly basis and compile an action plan.Build and maintain effective relationships with staff, clients and other departmental supervisors.Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction are monitored, measured and managed.The Ideal Candidate:To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate: Good Health & Safety Knowledge - ideally IOSH Managing Safely.
Good working knowledge of Concept Evolution CAFM System.
Excellent knowledge and understanding of Portering management processes.Good quality management and audit skills.
Excellent experience of coordinating planned and reactive activities.
