DN Colleges Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Plumbing/Gas Trainer Assessor to join our team.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality training and assessment to our plumbing and gas apprentices and full-time students.
This role involves engaging with employers, supporting learners through their courses, and ensuring compliance with college and awarding body requirements.Scope and Purpose of the Role: The Plumbing/Gas Trainer Assessor will be responsible for the planning, preparation, and delivery of training sessions, as well as the assessment and verification of learner work.
This role requires collaboration with employers to develop training programmes that meet industry needs and support learners in achieving their qualifications.
The post holder will also be involved in curriculum development and quality assurance processes.Essential Criteria:Level 3 qualification in Plumbing and HeatingA1 and V1 Awards (or equivalent)GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above (or equivalent)Relevant industrial experience in plumbing and gas installationUnderstanding of apprenticeship frameworks and effective delivery methodsExperience in working with programmes to meet employer needsTeaching/Training qualification and teaching experienceStrong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skillsCommitment to equality of opportunity and high standardsAbility to motivate and inspire apprenticesComputer literacy and administrative skillsEvidence of continued professional developmentDaily Responsibilities:Engage with employers to promote training and development opportunitiesProvide pre-course and on-course guidance to support learner progressionPlan, prepare, and deliver effective teaching sessions in various formats (classroom, workshop, e-learning)Assess and verify learner work to ensure timely completion and certificationManage learner enrolment, attendance, and record-keeping in line with college policiesParticipate in team meetings and contribute to quality assurance and curriculum developmentUndertake administrative tasks associated with learner registration and reportingSupport the achievement of recruitment and performance targetsParticipate in staff performance appraisal and continuous professional developmentAdhere to college policies, including those related to equality, diversity, health and safety, and safeguardingAdditional Duties:Support the development of a high-performing culture within the organisationUndertake other tasks as directed to meet the needs of the collegeTo apply for this post click 'Apply now', for further information please contact – please note that DN Colleges Group is closed from 19th December – 6th January so this inbox will not be manned through the Christmas period.
