We're looking for someone who will manage the digital platform, ensuring that it meets the needs of scholarly users within our global customer base of academic libraries.
You will be joining a dynamic and friendly digital product team, who are re-imagining Bloomsbury's academic publishing for a digital environment.
We are part of Bloomsbury Digital Resources (BDR), which sits within the wider Bloomsbury Academic and Professional Division.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Bloomsbury Collections, you will work with stakeholders across BDR, including editorial, sales, and UX colleagues, as well as our third-party technology partner.

This role is only expected to be in the office 2 days per week (Wednesdays and Thursdays) and we offer a core hours policy of 10:00 am to 2:30 pm, with 'Flexible Fridays' throughout the year.

The role You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Bloomsbury Collections platform, including the monthly release process.
You will work with developers, content architects, UX and Product Management colleagues to trouble-shoot issues and you will contribute to the strategic development of the platform.
You will be expected to act as a product champion, by defining requirements based on user research and usage data, and by using your expertise to respond to queries from sales, customer/technical support and customers, escalating issues as required.
Knowledge, skills and experience We want someone who has a strong track record of working on a website, digital product, or eBook platform, preferably in an academic publishing environment.
You will be an adept problem-solver and be able to manage your time effectively to get work done on schedule.
You should be very comfortable with technical detail and systems, and be able to communicate clearly to developers as well as less technically minded colleagues.
You'll be confident with large datasets and understand how to work with usage analytics.
If you also have experience in XML, publishing metadata systems, Jira and/or user experience research, then we'll be even more interested in you.
Additional information The role is a full-time permanent position.
Salary Pay Point: £40kThe role can be based at our London office 50 Bedford Square, London, WC1B 3DP or our Oxford office, Kemp House, Chawley Park, Cumnor Hill, Oxford OX2 9PH, on a hybrid-working pattern of 2 days office based / 3 days home based (or fully office based if preferred).
Allocated office days for this role are: Wednesday and Thursday.
