Pic Design Engineer

We are looking for a Photonic PIC Design Engineer to join the Design Team, focusing on III-V optical chip components.
This role involves optoelectronic device design, mask design, waveguide modelling, early characterisation, and test methodology development.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the transfer of research to NPI phase and production.
Key Responsibilities Design and develop photonic integrated circuits (PICs) and active photonic III-V components Perform device mask design and waveguide/optical modelling Collaborate with design and fabrication teams to define PDKs and automate design rules Support external collaborative projects Conduct DC and RF verification, and prepare technical reports Requirements Experience in III-V semiconductor physics Proficient in mask design tools (Python/Nazca/Layout or equivalent) Experience with PDK components and design rule checks Strong collaboration, communication, and independent work skills Ability to manage tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment If you are interested in the PIC Design Engineer vacancy Ensure your CV highlights the relevant skills and experience and contact Phil Wright at IC Resources .
