Key Responsibilities of Physical Education Teacher: Plan and deliver engaging physical education lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students, ensuring all students are motivated and challenged.
Teach a range of physical activities to students aged 11-16 .
Organise and supervise extracurricular sports activities and events, fostering a sense of enthusiasm and teamwork.
Monitor and assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external partners to enhance the physical education curriculum and support student development.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to participate.
Promote health and safety in all physical activities, ensuring students understand the importance of safe practices.
Requirements of Physical Education Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience in teaching physical education is essential.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
The ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best in physical education.
Commitment to promoting a love for physical activity and a healthy lifestyle.
Relevant qualifications or training in physical education (desirable but not essential).
To work with GSL Education as a Teacher of Physical Education , you will need: Right to work in the UK.
Up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
