About the Role: As the Payroll Manager, you will oversee and manage end-to-end payroll processes while ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing the payroll process for multiple teams, including starters, leavers, and complex calculations for maternity, paternity, and pensions.
Supervising and mentoring payroll staff to maintain high standards of service delivery.
Collaborating with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.
Overseeing the accuracy of payroll data and adherence to deadlines, including year-end reconciliations and submissions to HMRC.
Leading process reviews to enhance efficiency and compliance across payroll functions.
Responding to queries from employees and external agencies with professionalism and accuracy.
About You: The ideal candidate will bring:
A Level 4 qualification in Payroll/Accounting or equivalent experience.
Expertise in using payroll systems (e.g., iTrent) and strong proficiency in Excel (Intermediate to Advanced).
A thorough understanding of payroll legislation, including pensions and GDPR compliance.
Proven experience in managing payroll teams and leading process improvements.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with various stakeholders.
