Job summary We are a forward thinking, busy and friendly General Practice based in Guildford, looking to recruit an enthusiastic person to join our Patient Services Team.Merrow Park Surgery provides care for 12,500 patients in its surrounding areas.
Main duties of the job The successful applicant should possess excellent communication skills and proven organisational skills.
This is an important role and you will be required to work to tight deadlines and manage a varied workload.
You would be required to liaise with patients, GPs and external agencies, so NHS or similar experience is desirable.
About us We have a varied team of clinicians in the practice.
As well as GPs and nurses, these include newer roles such as physicians associates.
We work closely with our primary care network in East Guildford, to provide additional services to our patients.
These services include an "in-house" mental health service and first contact physiotherapists.The Patient Services Team, support our clinical team during our opening hours.
They work in a shift pattern between the hours of 8am and 7pm.We are looking for candidates to cover various shifts through out the are currently looking for new staff members to join this team.
Morning shifts are 8am - 1pm and afternoon shifts are 1pm - 7pm.We will need candidates to be able to work a set mix of early and late shifts.Part time - 23hrs Job description Job responsibilities Tobe responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception and administrative dutiesand the provision of general support to the multidisciplinary team.
Duties caninclude but are not limited to, greeting and directing patients, patientregistration, booking appointments, processing of information (electronic andhard copy) and assisting patients as required.
To act as the central point ofcontact for patients, the distribution of information, messages and enquiriesfor the clinical team, liaising with multidisciplinary team members andexternal agencies such as secondary care and community service providers.
