Pastoral Assistant

Job Title:         Pastoral Assistant Location:         Manchester, M22 Salary:             £19,000 to £24,000 per annum DOE Hours:              8.15am to 4pm We are currently recruiting for an experienced and dedicated Pastoral Assistant to join our client's talented and dynamic team!
This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with the Teachers and Senior Team to support students and make a real difference in the lives of the pupils.
Responsibilities: -  Assist with the care and welfare of the pupils within the school -  Assist the Teacher in the delivery of the curriculum -  Preparing, maintaining and using equipment and resources -  Monitoring the needs of individual pupils and reporting these to their designated supervisor as appropriate -  Promoting high standards of pupil behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with established policy and encourage pupils to take responsibility for their own behaviour -  Build positive relationships with students, encouraging self-esteem and inclusion -  Support individual and group learning activities, promoting independence and resilience -  Attend staff meetings and training, support during breaks and accompany students on trips We are looking for someone who has; -  Experience working with children -  Up to date knowledge and understanding of the practices and procedures relating to the welfare, safety and education of children -  Able to work as part of a team and be flexible -  Able to motivate and encourage children to develop to their full potential Desirable but not essential; - Additional specialist qualification in Education, NVQ2 or equivalent - Experience either as a Teaching Assistant or Classroom Assistant or in a care setting We look forward to receiving your application!
