Main duties of the job To be anOptometry lead within the Community Eye Services.To assess,diagnose and manage patients referred to the optometry department.
This post isbased within the community and carries a specialist caseload delivering ahighly complex optometric service and a comprehensive range of core services.
To provideteaching and training of other healthcare professionals, junior doctors andother senior medical staff.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential BSc.
Degree in Optometry Completion of preceptorship Postgraduate training and experience to masters level in a range of specialist areas, to include paediatrics Registration with General Optical Council Experience Essential Experience of working with children of all ages Knowledge of child development and an understanding of a range of complex conditions affecting vision development
