Job Title - Optometrist - Glaucoma Specialist Location - Cambridge Salary - Up to £70,000 DoE ACES is an independent provider of NHS eye care outpatient and surgical services that are delivered in the community.
Working with state of the art technologies, we support the NHS, providing patients with the highest standards of clinical care.
We provide a range of services including: Cataract, YAG Laser Treatment, Glaucoma, Oculoplastics and General Ophthalmology.
Due to an increasing workload, ACES have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Optometrist who holds a Higher Certificate in Glaucoma to join our amazing and supportive team in our Cambridge clinic.

You will be an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team working alongside ophthalmologists.
We are looking for experienced IP optometrists with the higher certificate / higher diploma in glaucoma to triage, carry out general outpatient, pre-operative and post-operative glaucoma consultations, assess the suitability of glaucoma patients for treatment and managing patients according to group clinical directives and national policies.
While experience of undertaking laser clinics, to include SLT, is desirable, this clinical application can be educated under the group ophthalmologist-led mentor programme.
The ideal candidate will: Have a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience.
Have higher qualifications in glaucoma.
Be passionate about delivering excellent patient care.
Be articulate, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Be confident and organised.
Be happy to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Flexible working available to include full and part time opportunities within our Cambridge clinic with a market leading salary up to £70,000.
Your role will be similar to that of a hospital optometrist, undertaken in a community setting, in a modern clinic, working with state of the art technology.
