Are you a seasoned expert in optics?
Are you driven by the challenge of crafting cutting-edge solutions for some of the hardest problems in R&D today?
Could you design the next big technology for eyecare?
Whatever your project focus, you'll get to tackle the most complex and impactful projects from across TTP.
As a specialist in optical system design, there aren't many people like you.
Your expertise is highly sought after – and TTP has the projects to match them.
You'll be based within our Eyecare Team, helping to invent high-tech solutions ranging from intraocular lenses through to retinal cameras.
It's the kind of tech that will make a meaningful difference and could stretch the boundaries of your technical understanding.
Although the Eyecare team will be your home, optical experience is in demand across the business.
This means you won't be restricted to one project type.
Instead, you'll get to explore opportunities to apply your expertise to an array of product development programmes from across our business units – spanning Deep Tech through to Life Science.
You'll get to create designs, run simulations, and build and test prototypes.
This could also involve Project Leading or providing technical contributions towards some non-optics work, such as electromagnetics or physics/mechanics.
You'll be working with a supportive team of world-class engineers, scientists, and designers.
Together, you'll explore new technological frontiers whilst benefitting from our culture of freedom with minimal bureaucracy.
Although your technical expertise will be in high demand, there will also be opportunities to grow your leadership, communication and commercial skills.
At TTP, you are at the wheel of your career development.
So, if you're a self-starter who values the freedom to produce your best work, you'll fit in well here.
Together, we'll discover solutions to some of the most complex technological challenges of our times.
Requirements We don't focus on job titles at TTP, so we're inviting applications from a range of backgrounds for this role – you might currently call yourself a Physicist, an Engineer, or a Project Leader.
We're more interested in the experience and mindset you would bring to the role than the job titles you've held.
Consultancy work at TTP involves more than technical research and development.
You'll lean into your ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively to colleagues and clients from diverse fields of expertise.
You are naturally curious with a growth mindset which will help you tackle complex challenges at the leading edge of innovation.
