Job DescriptionJob Title: Operations SupervisorJob Type: Permanent Hours: Annual Hours contract- Average 48 Hours per week (usual hours 8:30am-4:30pm) 10 days on, 4 days off, on call will be required Location: Grangemouth, this position is eligible for a company vehicle We are seeking a skilled Oil, Gas, and Chemical Inspection Operations Supervisor to oversee and manage field inspection activities.
This role requires knowledge of inspection processes within the oil, gas, and chemical sectors.
As an Inspection Field Supervisor, you will lead a team of inspectors, ensure adherence to safety and compliance standards, and work directly with clients to meet their inspection needs.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate the daily activities of the inspection team, ensuring accurate and timely inspections.Ensure compliance with industry standards, client requirements, and company policies during all inspection processes.Conduct on-site inspections and oversee sampling, gauging, and quality control procedures.Provide technical guidance and training to inspection staff to maintain high standards of service and safety.Act as the main point of contact for clients, communicating inspection findings and addressing any questions or concerns.Prepare, review, and submit detailed reports on inspection activities, findings, and follow-up actions.Identify areas for improvement within inspection processes and implement best practices to increase efficiency.Collaborate with cross-functional teams and attend client meetings to discuss project progress and requirements.QualificationsThe ideal candidate for this role will be an experienced Inspection supervisor or Cargo Inspector looking to advance their career, and step into a leadership role as an Operations Supervisor.
We also require the following expereince:In-depth technical knowledge of inspection activities within the petro-chemical industry.Experience of directly communicating with clients and successfully resolving clients issues/complaints.Previous experience of operating in a co-ordination or supervisory role within a successful team.Relevant professional qualification/membership of industry body IFIA, Deck Officer.Full UK Driving Licence.
