Purpose of the Role The Innovations department at Mpac performs a key role in the business, solving project critical problems to bring First Of A Kind products to markets.
You will be at the forefront of automation, solving problems to deliver added value to our customers.
Through a combination of innovative design, solid understanding of engineering and scientific fundamentals and a can-do attitude, you will tackle and solve the most challenging problems on fast-paced projects.
You will create new ideas, while working in collaboration with customers, suppliers and internal teams to develop and implement state of the art engineering solutions that deliver maximum value.

- To proactively protect Mpac Lambert IP and trade secrets at all times Key Responsibilities - Manage and implement Proof of Principle (PoP) projects to demonstrate successful and robust process solutions to both internal and external customers.
- Work in collaboration with the applications and technical departments to develop solutions for identified technical problems - Design and test processes/solutions to fulfill our customer requirements to instil confidence and maximize the likelihood of the success of our proposals - With support, develop road maps to manage research and development activities from first concepts through characterisation to agreeable performance and quality criteria - Manage expected timeline resource and budgetary requirement to successfully deliver a scope of work - Be flexible and adaptable to learn pro-actively learn new skills as appropriate to deliver a project or as part of your broader personal development - From time to time to be flexible to travel at relatively short notice within UK or worldwide to meet customers or suppliers Knowledge & Experience - Sound knowledge of engineering principles - Experience in an engineering design or R&D role, ideally in a relevant industry ( Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical or Clean Energy.
- HNC, HND with significant experience aligned to automation or BEng, BSc, MEng in a relevant subject - Proficient in 3D CAD
