School Administrator - Port Isaac - Part time Monday - Friday 8.30 - 10.30 Pay £23,468 (FTE) Our school is a friendly village primary school situated in the historic fishing village of Port Isaac.

Celebrating Harvest, Easter and Christmas with our village and local churches is an important part of the school calendar. Principal Responsibilities: - To welcome visitors, ensuring signing in procedures are followed. - To receive and prioritise incoming telephone calls and deal with them appropriately, taking messages as required. - To provide a professional and confidential administrative service for the school including word processing of correspondence, reports, publications and other documents as required. - To sort, distribute and administer incoming and outgoing mail and emails, including the school's 'enquiries' email account. - To be responsible for the school's text messages/email communication service to parents. - To support with generating newsletters, communication and updating our website. - To ensure all school records and files remain up-to-date and in accordance with Data Protection legislative requirements and to participate in maintaining back up systems. - To undertake the necessary administration associated with the school's intake of new pupils and pupils leaving the school, ensuring records are forwarded appropriately.
To maintain pupil records appropriately ensuring confidentiality with such records. - To undertake the necessary administration associated with pupils in receipt of free school meals, ensuring records are maintained appropriately and ensuring confidentiality with such records. - To manage pupil attendance - To be responsible for the school's Parentpay system - To undertake the necessary administration associated with music lessons for pupils. - To make bookings and oversee the arrangements for pupil and class photographs. - To obtain quotes for class trips / class visitors.
To ensure the provision of administrative support in respect of timetables, pupil registers and absences, lettings diary, post book, school meals, and school events and outings. - To make necessary arrangements/refreshments for meetings as required. - To be responsible for office organisation including stock control of office stationery and consumables. - To maintain the photocopier, ensure photocopying supplies are available and monitor staff printing allowances. - To be responsible for the processing of authorised orders in accordance with the agreed priorities and deadlines and in accordance with the working practices of the finance office. - To be responsible for the receipt and distribution of goods. - To undertake first aid duties as trained and as required. - To ensure records of staff continuing professional development are kept up to date and training booked as required. - To be aware of and work in accordance with the school's child protection policies and procedures, and to raise any concerns relating to such procedures which may be noted during the course of duty.
General responsibilities applicable to all staff: To demonstrate and promote the values of Cornwall Education Learning Trust at all times. - To work with professionalism in line with the Trust's Code of Conduct. - To take responsibility for their own CPD - To attend staff meetings and Trust-based INSET as required. - To be aware of, and comply with, Trust and school policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.
