Job summary We have an exciting opportunity for a time Band 5 Occupational therapist to join our team at Forest Lodge.
Forest lodge is a community based, adult mental health, rehabilitation and recovery unit based in Southampton, and is part of Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust.
The service was rated as outstanding in our inspection by the CQC in 2019.The service is an 18 bedded unit near Southampton City Centre supporting 6 female residents and 12 male residents in a communal living environment which supports individuals aged between 18 and 64 years with severe and enduring mental health problems.
The Forest Lodge multi-disciplinary team work collaboratively with service users to provide client centred interventions to support service users to achieve their recovery goals and work towards successful discharge from hospital.
The MDT also work with other professionals involved in the service user's care, including care co-ordinators from the different community mental health teams based in Southampton Main duties of the job Currently Occupational Therapy at Forest Lodge is provided by a Band 6 OT.
The service is looking for a full-time band 5 with the service can increase the provision of Occupational Therapy available to service users during their admission at Forest Lodge.
The post holder will have the opportunity to be directly involved in the development of the OT service.The post holder will receive regular, quality clinical supervision.
