Onsite Wolverhampton, GBR We are seeking two enthusiastic and dynamic Occupational Health Nurses on a part-time basis.
Each working 2 days per week, the successful candidates will join our state-of-the-art aerospace manufacturing facility in Wolverhampton.
Previous experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment is essential, along with knowledge and understanding of associated legislation.
The successful candidates will provide a high-quality Occupational Health service to the entire facility, driving performance by elevating the health and wellbeing of the workforce.
The provision of a competent, comprehensive and specialist advice service to all is a must, with a high standard of Occupational Health support to HR, EH&S and line managers, including assessment, advice, education and health management plans.
Principal Accountabilities: Health Surveillance Development of a high standard Occupational Health Service, enabling new starter assessment and screening, heath surveillance, immunizations and annual wellness screening Conduct, monitor and manage health surveillance screening and the escalation pathway Coordinating appropriate clinical interventions and follow-up monitoring reviews, i.e.
suspected occupational dermatitis Health Promotion Contributing to the health and wellbeing of all employees and working with HR, EH&S and the Leadership Team, to design and deliver health promotion activities Promoting high standards of health safety and well being amongst employees in line with current legislation Coordination with the Mental Health First Aiders on-site to support wellness Develop and implement health promotion initiatives, campaigns, and training programs to enhance employee well-being on topics such as nutrition, stress management etc.
Case Management including Injury and Illness Comprehensive assessment of employees including those with complex health needs, diverse or complex presentations that require clinical reasoning skillsDeveloping comprehensive wellness action plans for employees to support wellbeing, and where required, a safe return and continuation of duties at work Assess employees fitness for work following a period(s) of sickness absence, both short and long-term or where an employee is experiencing health or disability issues impacting their attendance and/or performance at work Providing clear and impartial clinical advice to both managers, and employees to optimize health at work, reduce sickness absence and prevent work related ill-health and injury.
Offer advice on fitness for work, return to work plans, workplace adjustments and ill-health retirement Compliance Being professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of their own work Assessment and reduction of hazards and risk in the workplace for all employees Maintain confidential, clear and accurate records in line with General Data Protection Act Regulations (GDPR) Support DSE assessments by identifying specific and general ergonomic issues and present solutions Advise on safe systems of work, personal Protective equipment (PPE), environmental safety and required site and role specific health surveillance Collaboration and Communication Supporting the development and review of policies, procedures and standards with reference to clinical practice and overall well-being strategy Provide data and metrics as required by the business, sharing and advising on trends and patterns Develop, monitor and audit clinical and non-clinical performance standards and reporting activity Support the development of the Occupational Health Service for the business Work in conjunction with the opposite clinician to best support the needs of the business Infrequent travel will be required across other Moog UK Sites, including Luton and Reading Job Requirements: Occupational Health Specialist Nurse (Degree level/Diploma or equivalent) Proven track record of operational service management in health setting at a senior level including staff and change management Evidence of ongoing professional development Expert clinical skills and experience as an Occupational Health specialist practitioner, including health surveillance, health and wellbeing programmes Knowledge of potential workplace hazards, safe systems of work and manufacturing health surveillance BPSS security clearance / DBS check (enhanced) Experience and an enhanced understanding of a complex manufacturing environment Ability to work alongside another Occupational Health Clinician to manage business needs and report outside of the profession Security Clearance Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role.
