Hours - 37.5 Vacancy Type - Permanent - Full Time We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our permanent team in our Male PICU service.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality psychiatric care within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.
As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping patient care and contributing to the ongoing success of our services.
Role Responsibilities Providing high-quality clinical care for patients referred to and using the services of the hospital, working closely with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure holistic and person-centric care.
Taking clinical responsibility for patients, including multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews, strategic reviews, and the development of a therapeutic milieu.
Providing expert psychiatric assessments and treatment for a diverse patient population.
Leading and managing patient care within your specialty, ensuring the highest standards of care.
Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, therapists, and nursing staff.
Engaging in clinical governance and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
Participating in on-call rotations, ensuring continuous high-quality care.
Ensuring compliance with all relevant clinical guidelines and regulatory standards.
Candidate Profile Full GMC registration with specialist registration in psychiatry.
Extensive experience in Forensic psychiatry.
Strong knowledge of Clinical Governance and adherence to regulatory frameworks.
Successful completion of an enhanced DBS check, provided by Suttons Manor.
Holding a CCST / CCT (or equivalent) in the relevant areas of Psychiatry with experience in inpatient settings.
Able to work autonomously to agreed short and medium term objectives, understanding the impact of actions on patient care and the multidisciplinary team.
Intelligent problem solving, translating best practice and evidence-based research into practical operational solutions.
