Job summary The Critical Care Shared Service comprises of a 40 bedded Critical Care Unit based at the Salford Care Organisation and an 8 bedded Critical Care at the Bury Care Critical Care Unit care is for level 2 & 3 General adult, Surgical and Trauma patients and Neuroscience, Spinal and Trauma patients.
The patients can be either on elective or emergency pathways of care.Salford Royal is the Neuroscience Centre & Regional Trauma Centre for Greater are looking for a Registered Nurse with extensive Critical Care & Neuroscience experience as a Band 5 or Band 6 within the speciality to join the team.
Main duties of the job It is essential that you are a proficient critical care practitioner, hold a post registration critical care qualification and have completed the Mentorship Assessor and Supervisor must be able to deliver a high standard of evidence based individual patient care.
You will have evidence of continual professional development which is relevant to this speciality.
Level 3 skills are essential to this must also be able to demonstrate self-motivation and leadership skills, together with the ability to communicate effectively.

Person Specification Registaration and Qualificatio Essential First Degree in nursing or an equivalent portfolio of evidence.
NMC Registration.
Post Registration Qualification in Critical Care.
Desirable Mentorship qualification.
Knowledge, Skills and Experien Essential Evidence of clinical expertise and knowledge acquired through CPD and experience.
Evidence of involvement and leadership in teaching and mentoring learners.
Evidence of involvement in the development of protocols, clinical audit and quality improvement.
Evidence of ability to take charge in the absence of their direct line manager.
Extensive experience at Band 5/6.
