Nhs Continuing Healthcare Irp Caseworker (Business Support Assistant)

Job summary As a Continuing Healthcare Independent Review the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff across the Continuing Healthcare Teamto deliver NHS England's statutory function to facilitate Independent Reviews of CHC eligibility.
In particular the post holder will provide and coordinate administrative and secretarial services; including for example, the preparation of agendas and minutes, taking appropriate follow-up action as required.
Supporting the team with the management of projects, gathering information and undertaking enquires as and when is necessary for the head of department, teams and the department.
Main duties of the job Provide specialist secretarial/administration support and advice to the teams and/or Sector to support a number of initiatives by: Taking telephone calls from members of the public or their representatives either in relation to your own case load or matters for the wider CHC team.
To use their initiative when dealing with phone calls and messages.
Undertaking all administrative duties such as photocopying and prioritising mail and e-mail.
Distributing as appropriate.
Sorting and prioritising all incoming mail and e-mail, distributing as appropriate.
Coordinate the caseloads to the Independent Chairs, taking account of availability and case complexity and clarify the appropriate type of panel members required Monitor that the IRP report is acted upon by the appropriate ICB Accountable Officer and CHC Lead within the appropriate timescale - escalating to the CHC IRP Manager where necessary Ensure all urgent and/or confidential communications are received and distributed from/to relevant parties in a timely manner.
Organising and planning events as directed, providing all necessary supporting in local materials.
Required to input, monitor and check data produced and required for on-going programmes and projects.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential GCSE English and Maths or equivalent Desirable Educated to NVQ 4 level in a relevant subject or equivalent level of qualification or significant equivalent previous proven experience.
Knowledge and Experience Essential Experience of working in Continuing Healthcare and/ or Independent Review Significant administrative/ secretarial experience including initiating and maintaining office systems.
Demonstrable experience in dealing with the public and dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
Desirable Understanding of Confidentiality and Data Protection Act.
