We are therefore open to candidates based in and around the London area.Job DescriptionWhat will the role involve?You will write and develop stories, whilst showing an understanding of the brand's key content.
You will deliver a fast turnaround on major news stories across the UK and around the world and bring in exclusive stories that set us apart from our rivals.
All while ensuring that every piece of content is researched and published in accordance with the Editor's Code of practice.
You will be confident using your contacts to pull in exclusive interviews and news stories, whilst collaborating with the newsroom and other departments.Ability to work well and quickly under pressure is a must, with excellent multitasking skills and diary management.
QualificationsWho are we looking for?An experienced journalist with your NCTJ or equivalent qualification and media law knowledge, you have a strong track record of delivering a wide range of engaging human interest and hard hitting stories at a national or major regional title while understanding what works for a print and digital audience.You have precious experience in a fast paced newsroom, with excellent contacts with specialists, key players, politicians, charities and think tanks.
You're social media savvy with current SEO knowledge and ideally you're familiar with newsroom analytics and content management systems.
