Job DescriptionNBC News Digital is looking for an experienced news editor to join its London team and work with our international team of reporters, TV correspondents and producers for six months of parental leave cover.
The successful candidate must have worked at a major news organization commissioning and editing articles aimed at a broad audience.
They must have proven people skills and an ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
A track record of spotting trends and stories others miss and an ability to edit copy quickly are a must.The hours are 7 to 3 BST, Monday to Friday but the editor will be flexible and able to work the occasional weekend, late afternoon or evening.While much of the role will focus on international news, the news editor must have a firm grasp of stories and issues that appeal to an American audience.
