Lakeland Dairies Co-operative Society Limited (The Group) is the second largest dairy processor on the island of Ireland.

The Groups Agribusiness Division (Lakeland Agri) operates a state-of-the-art Animal Feed Manufacturing Facility and is a leading and innovative provider of the highest quality feeds and agricultural inputs to dairy, beef and sheep farmers across the north and south of Ireland.
We are now seeking applications for the position of Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician based at our Ballyrashane site outside Coleraine.
The Role As part of our team of multi-skilled engineering team, the successful candidate will provide essential planned and emergency maintenance on site to ensure the smooth and efficient running of our plant 365 days a year.
The company operates a rotating shift pattern (including nights and weekends).
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA Relevant qualification such as ONC/OND in Engineering, C&G or equivalent qualified, plus Engineering apprenticeship time served.
Ability to read and interpret specifications and diagrams and apply in working environment Able to demonstrate experience of electrical and mechanical fault-finding / problem solving Good working knowledge of current electrical standards and requirements Computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills Previous industrial experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Flexible attitude towards work & hours and willing to work continental shift pattern DESIRABLE CRITERIA Post qualification Mechanical and Electrical experience gained within a high-volume manufacturing environment Good basic mechanical or electrical knowledge for cross trained multi skilled discipline Previous experience within a food or increased hygiene environment Knowledge of PLC Programming 17th or 18th edition certification Application Process Closing date is 5pm Tuesday 21st November 2024 Lakeland Dairies is committed to having an inclusive workplace where every employee feels they belong.
