Conducting inspections and preventive maintenance on production equipment to identify and address issues before they cause disruptions Responding quickly to machinery breakdowns, diagnosing problems, and performing repairs, or coordinating with external specialists as needed Carrying out machine adjustments and changeovers to enhance production line efficiency and minimise downtime Monitoring and calibrating equipment to ensure compliance with accuracy, quality, and safety standards Collaborating with production teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and offering technical expertise to boost productivity Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including maintenance schedules, repairs, and spare parts inventory Adhering to health and safety guidelines and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures Staying updated with industry advancements and new technologies relevant to the role What are the requirements?
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent, such as ONC, HND, HNC in mechanical/electrical engineering or BTEC Level 3 in mechanical & electrical/electronic engineering) Strong knowledge of both mechanical and electrical systems, especially within the FMCG industry Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery, including conveyors, motors, pumps, and packaging equipment A proactive approach to maintenance, with a commitment to maximising equipment reliability A solid understanding of HACCP principles; an IEE qualification up to 17th Edition Wiring Regulations is desirable A strong work ethic TPBN1_UKTJ
