Following an extensive refurbishment, this privately owned Inn with 15 rooms is seeking a passionate and talented Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen.
The business is committed to quality food, lovingly made using the finest seasonal ingredients from local suppliers.
They serve a mix of pub classics, lunchtime sandwiches, traditional favourites, seasonal specialties, and the best Sunday roast around.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled Sous Chef to further develop their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.
This is a live-out role, therefore Sous Chefs applying would need to be commutable to Newton-Le-Willows.
Sous Chef Ideal Profile: Proven experience in a professional kitchen, with the ability to assist in preparing a wide range of dishes, including pub classics, seasonal specialties, and traditional favourites.
A strong commitment to using high-quality, seasonal ingredients from local suppliers, with an eye for detail and a passion for creating exceptional dining experiences.
Solid teamwork and communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to maintain high standards and consistency in all dishes.
Ability to contribute to menu development and updates, reflecting seasonal changes and customer preferences while supporting the Head Chef in maintaining the restaurant's unique culinary identity.
Knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and inventory management to support the Head Chef in ensuring efficient kitchen operations and profitability.
In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations, ensuring a clean, safe, and compliant kitchen environment at all times.
Sous Chef Responsibilities: Assist the Head Chef in developing and innovating menus, ensuring high-quality execution of all dishes.
