Job Title: Middleware Engineer - OKTA Solution Engineer (OKTA / IDAM Developer) Role Type: Open to both Permanent and Contract (Inside IR35) Salary: Open upto £90,000 Per annum Location: London or Edinburgh Work Model: Hybrid – 2 to 3 days per week onsite in either London or Edinburgh Office Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled OKTA Solutions Engineer/ IDAM Developer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting and enhancing identity and access management (IDAM) solutions, with a focus on OKTA implementations.
This role requires a combination of technical expertise in identity platforms, particularly OKTA, and a proactive approach to support and development.
Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and support OKTA solutions, focusing on both Workforce and Customer Identity Clouds.
Design and implement secure and scalable identity solutions, including Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations, using OIDC.
Manage OKTA Lifecycle Management processes and utilize administrative APIs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop web applications utilizing RESTful APIs.
Support the development of web applications using Java and OKTA SDKs.
Conduct regular system monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting for optimal performance.
Key Skills and Experience: Core Skills: Experience with OKTA Identity Cloud, including Workforce Identity Cloud (WIC) and Customer Identity Cloud (CIC).
Proficient in OKTA APIs and SDKs.
Expertise in RESTful APIs and web application development.
Strong knowledge of OAuth, OIDC, and SAML protocols.
Proven experience implementing SSO with OIDC.
Hands-on experience with OKTA Lifecycle Management and administrative APIs.
Proficiency in Java.
Additional Skills (Preferred): Familiarity with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with Azure AD/Entra.
Knowledge of API management with APIGEE.
Understanding of containerization and orchestration with Kubernetes.
Exposure to Istio service mesh.
