We are actively looking for a Mid-level Estimator with Maritime experience to join our corporate Estimation team.
This position will manage the compilation of construction cost estimates and schedules based on plans and specifications to provide our clients accurate information for budgeting purposes by working as an integrated member of our project teams.
Assesses material, labor, and equipment costs and determining means and methods of construction in various sectors (i.e., marine, transportation, and bridge).

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree Civil Engineering or Construction Management; requiredMinimum of 6 years of experience in construction estimating related to; Maritime projects; requiredTransportation projects to include highway, roadway, rail, and bridge; preferred Experience in: Constructability and costing for transportation construction industry; requiredConstruction scheduling; requiredProposals including joint ventures, design-build, fixed price, FIDIC (International Federation of Consulting Engineers), re-measurable, and negotiated bids; preferredPurchasing, cost control, and billings on a cost-plus projectScheduling software, Primavera, MS Project, estimating software such as Heavy Bid (HCSS) for non-Federal projectsKnowledge of American Association of Cost Engineers (AACE) Cost Policies; preferredProfessional licensure (PE, EIT, or CPE); preferredExcellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) Availability and willingness to travelAll new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171Moffatt & Nichol uses E-Verify and employment is contingent upon the legal ability to obtain employment in the U.S. and to present the required documentation at hireBase salary range: $112,500 to $138,000 based on years of experience, level of education obtained, professional registration, and meeting required qualifications in job description.
Base salary range only applicable for candidates who will be hired and working in the state of California market.
Working conditions: Majority of work is office based.
