Leader Education are seeking a Learning Support Assistant for a secondary school based in Northumberland.
The successful Learning Support Assistant will have an ability to support teachers and participate to the wellbeing and development of students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs .

The normal working pattern is Monday to Friday 8:30am until 4pm and is a long-term position.
The successful candidate will have: An enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one An ability to collaborate with vulnerable individuals who have educational health care plans Demonstrate understanding of SEMH children and the various behaviours they may display Have confidence with working closely with students, providing support in their learning, and participating in general classroom activities Demonstrate adaptable communication skills towards the children whether it be in a 1:1 or in small groups Promote positive behaviour and confidence of pupils Leader Education can offer: Competitive pay rates Refer a friend or colleague bonus scheme: £100 per referral (terms apply) Free CPD including Team Teach A dedicated consultant to answer any queries and for ongoing support Potential permanent contract after a qualifying period Interested candidates are invited to submit a comprehensive CV outlining their teaching experience, qualifications which are relevant to this role.
