Job summary Medical Laboratory Assistant - Shift PostSpecimen ReceptionFull time position ( hours)Location: UHNM, Stoke-on-TrentWe are seeking applications from self-motivated and enthusiastic individuals for the post of Medical laboratory Assistant in the Specimen Reception section of the Biochemistry department.This post supports the 24/7 Blood Science service and as such the successful candidate will be expected to take part in a 24hr shift rota covering weekends and Bank Holidays.
Main duties of the job The Biochemistry laboratory is CPA accredited and processes in excess of 1,000,000 samples per year.
It is well equipped, providing a wide range of routine and specialist diagnostic services with Advia 2400 routine biochemistry analysers, Centaur XP's, Immulite XPi, SEBIA electrophoresis, BN11 Nephelometer, Tosoh G8 HPLC and a Waters Mass Spectrometer.
