Mechanical Design Engineer

Role: Mechanical Design EngineerLocation: Canterbury, KentSalary: £35,000 to £55,000Premier Engineering are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading engineering company.Primarily the role will encompass new product development using core electro-mechanical engineering principles, 3D CAD, FEA, CFD, engineering formulas, equations etc.
In this role you will carry out the entire design and development process for new product development projects, with an aim to progress from concept to final production.
The company are a leading supplier of complex products into a whole host of sectors.Software used: 3D CAD (Solidworks)FEA (Full training can be provided, basic knowledge needed)Education required:Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)Skills required:Strong 3D CAD skillsFEA and general analysis skillsValidate all designs by prototyping and testingCreate proven engineering designsCarry out DFMA on a routine basisKnowledge of a range of manufacturing processesDefine all plant / equipment / tooling requirementsDeliver designs to an agreed scheduleCreate regular status reportsCreate and maintain BOMS in ERP system up to the point of product releaseCreate and maintain all drawings related to project(s) being worked on.If you would be interested in finding out more about this position, please send me an up to date copy of your CV.
