This role requires a focus on innovative designs, commercial awareness, and timely project delivery, while supporting the company's mission to provide high-quality design services to customers.
Key Accountabilities: Deliver high-quality design outputs by thoroughly understanding customer needs and regulatory standards.Continuously apply innovative thinking to enhance the value of design services.Ensure design solutions are cost-effective, and manage scope changes as per standard operating procedures.Maintain an understanding of project schedules to meet delivery deadlines.Adhere to internal standard operating procedures and relevant regulatory requirements.Communicate project status to the Team Lead, customers, and suppliers to ensure proactive planning.Support commissioning and build activities as required.
Key Responsibilities: Translate customer and regulatory requirements into accurate designs, minimizing technical risks.Maintain commercial awareness to maximize value for customers and ensure project loyalty.Issue relevant design documentation on schedule to meet project delivery goals.Collaborate with the Team Lead to verify design quality and ensure customer satisfaction.Participate in design review meetings, offering technical input to support key approvals.Assist with resource planning, ensuring other departments have visibility of the design progress.Support machine commissioning activities to ensure successful Factory and Site Acceptance Testing (FAT & SAT).

Desirable: Knowledge of British and international standards for the design and installation of industrial automation systems.Experience with risk assessments, technical files, and compliance with the Machinery Directive and international standards.Skills and Qualifications: Essential: Proficiency in 3D design software (eg, Inventor, Solidworks).Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.HNC, HND, or BSc in a relevant engineering discipline with post-graduate experience.
Desirable: Apprentice training in mechanical or mechatronic engineering.
