About the role The post holder is based in a student-facing office open from 9am to 5pm each day.The post holder is part of a team responsible for managing formative and summative assessments and feedback across the MBBS programme, including mapping assessments to the MBBS Curriculum Map Intended Learning Outcomes aligned with the General Medical Council's Outcomes for Graduates.The post holder provides administrative support for the Academic and Deputy Academic Leads for Assessment and Assessment Manager; manages the coordination and delivery of assessments and processing and publication of results for summative and formative Applied Knowledge Tests (AKT) and Clinical and Professional Skills Assessments (CPSA); supports the development and quality assurance of assessment processes and delivery; uses bespoke assessment software and databases to manage online assessments; and supports eportfolio.The team liaises with the MBBS Academic Year and Module Leads, the MBBS Curriculum Team and MBBS Placements Teams to coordinate academic content and local delivery of assessments to a consistent standard; and with a broad range of key academic and professional services staff across UCL and its partner NHS trusts and Primary Care.The post holder is responsible for providing a high quality and timely service to staff and students to underpin and enhance medical education and the medical student experience.
The post holder is responsible for contributing to, and monitoring compliance with, Standard Operating Procedures to an agreed MBBS template.Appointment details: The post is Grade 7, the annual salary for which ranges from £43, to £51, (including London Allowance).The appointment is available from February .
About you It is essential for the postholder to have experience of providing administrative support in an education environment and good interpersonal skills.
The successful candidate will have a high level knowledge of, and ability to work with, electronic media, including the ability to manage and manipulate complex data in excel spreadsheets, databases and VLE (Virtual Learning Environment), and to create complex spreadsheets and contribute to the enhancement of databases and the VLE.
