Materials Planner

Materials Planner - Immediate Start Location: Trowbridge Job Type: Full-time, On-site Contract: 3 months (potential to go permanent) Salary: £30K equivalent Join a leading company in beauty product development and manufacturing as a Materials Planner within our procurement division.
This role is essential for ensuring efficient and cost-effective purchasing, minimizing risk, and maintaining high standards of quality and service.

Responsibilities: Evaluate Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to coordinate cost-effective purchasing strategies.
Ensure all order confirmations are received and processed within the target timeframe.
Review MRP exceptions to identify and mitigate risks in inbound purchases.
Communicate price and lead time variations to the Procurement Team.
Attend and contribute to Demand, Planning, and Marketing meetings to ensure accurate MRP evaluations.
Handle invoice queries in collaboration with the Finance team and coordinate purchase returns and replacement orders as instructed.
Support R&D by ensuring adequate lab stock availability for raw materials.
Maintain effective communication across all teams and contribute to a positive working atmosphere.
Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
CIPS qualification or relevant experience in procurement.
Strong mathematical and Microsoft Office skills.
Effective communication skills, including a good telephone manner.
Experience with Sage software is preferable.
