Material Controller / Technical Buyer

As a globally recognized automotive manufacturer, our client seeks an experienced Materials Controller / Technical Buyer to oversee the procurement and logistics for all development parts in vehicle production.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Quality, Material Control, and Planning teams, ensuring that each new demand in the vehicle build process aligns with the schedule set by the Senior Engineer.
This position is contract-based at a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Surrey.
Key Responsibilities: Ensure all new demands for Prototype, Post Build, Development, and Uplift activities are fulfilled.
Support the coordination of the Build and Test Process, working with engineering and vehicle development teams.
Set priorities for the warehouse operator, ensuring all parts are picked and processed.
Coordinate and consolidate prototype and post-build vehicle parts requirements, reporting shortages to management.
Experience & Qualifications: Experience in the manufacturing industry, particularly in automotive serial production.
Comprehensive understanding of a sequenced materials production and planning environment.
The Material Controller / Technical Buyer must effectively coordinate the transportation of parts for development activities, both within the UK and internationally.
Strong communication skills are essential to report shortages and respond to challenging situations.
