We provide technical expertise, governance, policy, guidance and support to the business units to provide a high-quality service to their own people and their clients.
Roles in the centre work closely with Executive team to shape and deliver our strategic goals but also partner with the business functions to embed the values, behaviours and strategic ambitions.Summary of the role:Trainee accountant to support the accountant on the day to operations of the finance function, to ensure timely delivery, of the business-critical information against the set business timetable.

This includes diversity in terms of race, gender, age, background, and more.Key Responsibilities: Assist with data entry, processing, and recording transactions.Reconciling invoices and identifying discrepanciesIssue invoices to customers and external/Internal partners, as needed.Update the ledger, reconcile accounts, and audit and process vendor bills.Administrative duties, including implementing financial procedures when they're introduced into the department.
You also get involved in budgeting and preparing financial reports.
You should expect to manage work schedules as required.Reporting discrepancies, mistakes, or potential fraud to senior managementComplying with financial laws and regulations alongside in-house policiesResearching and resolving discrepancies in a timely fashionDealing with subsidiary finance department queries.Provide general accounts support.Assist Management accountant with Year-end audit participation.Daily bank reconciliations of the groupStanding data analysis for NAV General & Other Responsibilities: Set an example of hard work, enthusiasm, and loyalty in the performance of all tasks.Cooperate with team members and other departments.Ad-hoc duties as required.Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors Skills and experience: Level 4 AAT, Or BSc/Ba in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field1 years' relevant experience required Basic understanding of key accountancy principles and processes Basic Excel skills Influencing skills Information managementTime-management IndependenceStrong inter-personal skills, being confident working with individuals across the group and wider businesses.Hard-working, proactive, with a 'can-do' attitude Behaviour & Attitude: Accurate with good attention to detailEncourage and challenge others to drive business objectives.Consistently acknowledges and appreciates all stakeholders' contribution.
