Managing Director

Our Client is a Manufacturer and supplier of full consumable solutions.
The ideal candidate will be office based in Kent but have 30% travel in Europe and North America The Managing Director is responsible for: •Controlling the direction of the company and operations •Deciding the budgets for the company •Targeting and initiating business partnerships with other companies •Driving the culture of the business •Overseeing employment and ensuring there are enough staff (right people and skill sets) •Building and maintaining an effective management team •Generating new business and gives approval for new projects •Identifying risks and ensuring appropriate strategies are in place •Ensuring correct practices are in place •Attending board meetings and other presentations •Driving profitability and growth of the business •Assuming full accountability for the board for all company operations •Future Acquisitions and Mergers and strategic growth opportunities, projects and key initiatives Education The Managing Director should be an over achiever, with a successful business record, a capable leader who can demonstrate their excellent managerial performance.
Ideally the candidate will have at least a first level degree in material science, engineering, chemistry or physics.
They will also have a Managerial degree of MBA or higher.
Any European from language skills would be a bonus but not essential.
