Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and commercially focused Management Accountant to join our global technology company.
This role will support the Finance team in budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close activities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to contribute to financial planning and analysis in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities: Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation and management of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, working closely with various departments to gather and analyse financial data.
Contribute to the development of financial models and scenarios to support business planning and decision-making.
Monitor and analyse budget performance, identifying variances and providing insights and recommendations for corrective actions.
Month-End Close: Support the month-end close process by preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
Ensure accurate and timely completion of month-end closing activities, including variance analysis and review of financial statements.
Collaborate with the Finance team to resolve any issues or discrepancies identified during the close process.
Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing detailed analysis and commentary on financial performance.
Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as required by senior management or other stakeholders.
Ensure that financial reports comply with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Commercial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions, including cost analysis, profitability assessments, and investment evaluations.
Provide insights into financial trends and performance metrics, helping to drive business strategy and operational improvements.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand and address financial implications of business initiatives.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance function, including enhancements to budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
Assist in the implementation of new systems or tools to improve financial accuracy and efficiency.
Contribute to ongoing projects and initiatives aimed at optimizing financial operations and controls.
Compliance and Documentation: Ensure adherence to internal controls and financial policies, maintaining accurate and complete documentation of financial transactions.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to audit inquiries.
Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
Qualifications: Part-qualified accountant pursuing a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
Relevant experience in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a focus on budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis techniques.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for financial analysis and reporting.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
