Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated senior nurse who is passionate about Haematological cancer to lead and develop the cross site Haematology Cancer CNS Team.
This is a permanent Band 8a post at hours per week.

Applications for this post are invited from nurses who have had extensive experience in haematological cancer.

The successful candidate should have a degree and be willing to develop their academic and clinic practice.
They should have excellent communication skills verbally and written.
They will play an active part in clinical practice, education, research/audit and the implementation of national guidelines and transformative services.
The successful applicant will work as part of a well-established dynamic multi-disciplinary Haematology Cancer team who provide specialist advice, holistic care and support to patients, relatives and members of the health care teams.
They will be required to lead, develop and evaluate the Haematology Cancer service to improve and maintain standards of patient care and promote a seamless service within a multi-disciplinary framework.
Main duties of the job The post holder will lead and manage the Haematology Cancer CNS Nursing Teams cross-site on a daily basis, ensuring that the teams provide an excellent service to the Trust through evidence based practice, education, policy and guideline development.The Post Holder will continually develop, implement and evaluate the Haematology Cancer Service to improve and maintain standards of patient care and promote a seamless service within a multi-professional frameworkLead developments in practice consistent with the patient care priorities set nationally and locally.Development of new roles or service redesign will take place in line with best practice and evidence based care.Develop and manage nurse led clinics to streamline the haematology cancer services to improve patient experience and develop effective pathwaysMaintain a high profile in clinical practice, promoting clinical excellence, initiating learning opportunities and promoting effective learning environments in all ward areas and clinic areasThe postholder will be accountable for ensuring the highest standard of clinical care is provided within the relevant setting.
