Study Programme Tutor (Bury)

We are currently looking for a Tutor to join our successful Study Programme Team.
The Team delivers two pre-apprenticeship programmes: Employability Skills and In-centre Traineeships in our Accrington, Oldham, and Bury Centres.
Both programmes are tailored to the needs of students aged 16-18 who are not ready or able to directly enter an Apprenticeship, employment, or other post-16 alternatives.
This challenging and rewarding role will suit a passionate and engaging tutor with proven experience and/or a desire to work with learners between the ages of 16 - 18.
We are looking for someone who possesses the following qualities:
Developing session plans and schemes of work.
Keeping abreast of local influences and current affairs.
Recording student progress following each session and conducting regular reviews of students' progress.
Carrying out one-to-one assessments with students to achieve the Employability Skills qualification.
Participating in any Study Programme promotional events, such as careers conventions, parents' evenings, job fairs, open days, etc.

The role will be based in our Bury centre with travel to Oldham and Accrington centres when required (flexibility is essential).

Previous experience of teaching to groups.

Good ICT skills including MS Office applications and MS Teams

Salary Sacrifice Scheme

Enhanced Holiday Package
Generous annual allocation of 22 days per year, increasing to 27 days after one years' service, plus an additional 8 days allocated to bank holidays.
For the last 4 years, we have also awarded an additional 2 days holiday.

2pm Friday Finish
NLTG will close at 2pm every Friday to enable staff to start their weekend earlier and plan family events etc.
In addition, (dependent on diaries and activities) staff will be able to attend work in casual clothes each Friday
