We are looking for a highly experienced Logistics Manager to start in January 2025 in Glasgow, for 12 months work which could continue for the very long term - up to January 2027 - for the right candidate.
This role is due to commence in January 2025. This will be a Monday to Friday role from 7.30am to 6pm, and we require an experienced and well-vetted candidate that comes with good references.
Role Requirements Good communication skills. Minimum 2 years' experience in a logistics manager role with a similar skill set and responsibilities. Liaise with all levels of site management to ensure stock levels are kept to standard. Manage and supervise the movement and distribution of storage from the suppliers of specific sectors and labor sites. Monitor materials on site and levels in the warehouse to ensure availability to all levels of staff. Always keep the site tidy. Play an active role in weekly logistics meetings and organize daily activities while looking ahead on-site. Traffic Marshall - Allocate and manage the traffic team in a busy city center area. Good English, present the company well, work beside local residents, and ensure we are managing expectations while adhering to a council-approved construction environmental management plan. Good level of Health and Safety awareness. Computer literate, IT proficient, and able to utilize basic software used for logistics. Must have an SSSTS or SMSTS for this role. Benefits Competitive hourly rate of £20 - £22 per hour (depending on experience). Temporary contract. 12 months work minimum for the right candidate, which could continue up to January 2027.
