The role of the Legal Counsel is to provide and manage high-quality legal services throughout operations in the Americas for Clean Air and globally for Hydrogen Technologies (HT) and to ensure legal compliance and coordinated risk management for such businesses.

Your responsibilities: Provide Comprehensive Legal Support: Advise on a wide range of domestic and international commercial legal matters, supporting various business functions including procurement, operations, quality, technology, EHS, engineering, supply chain, sales, and marketing. Draft and Negotiate Legal Documents: Draft and negotiate various legal documents and commercial contracts, including terms and conditions, joint development agreements, consultancy agreements, confidentiality agreements, and sale/purchase agreements. Implement Risk Management Procedures: Work closely with the business to ensure appropriate risk management procedures are in place, covering contractual and compliance risks, and implement standardized mitigations across all sites. Provide Legal and Compliance Training: Deliver legal and compliance training and guidance on topics such as ABC, competition, and financial crime, fostering a culture of integrity and best business practices. Manage Disputes and External Legal Services: Handle dispute settlements and litigation management, and oversee specialist legal services provided by external firms, ensuring value for money and budget compliance. Contribute to Transformation Projects: Participate in a wide range of transformation projects within the legal team and the business, identifying risks and opportunities, and driving proactive behaviors and practices. Requirements for the role: Qualified Lawyer: You should have 1-4 years of legal experience gained either in a leading firm or in an in-house role. International Experience: Previous experience working in an international environment is essential. High-Value Transactions: You need to have experience in negotiating and closing high-value transactions. Corporate/Commercial Law: Exposure to corporate and/or commercial law is desirable. Compliance Matters: Experience dealing with compliance matters is also desirable. IP and Competition Law: Exposure to intellectual property and competition law is a plus.
