Bumble is looking for a skilled EU/UK-qualified Safety Lawyer to join its global team of legal professionals.
Reporting into Head of Content and Safety - Legal, the Safety Lawyer will work closely with our in-house Member Safety and Communications teams, and wider Legal team, on content moderation, law enforcement, regulatory and safety issues across our products, including Bumble, Badoo, Official, Geneva and Fruitz.

What you'll do Support our member safety team, advising on content moderation issues, content policies, law enforcement requests and user safety issues working with and managing external counsel as necessary Monitor, review and assess international laws and regulations relating to content and safety, and advise on the implementation of those laws, including the Digital Services Act in the EU, Online Safety Act in the UK, dating code and regulation developing in Australia Be responsible for regulatory engagement together with the public policy team Closely collaborate and coordinate with cross functional teams on regulatory and policy strategies, external communication and investigations Support our Law Enforcement team with processing user data and content removal requests.
About you Qualified solicitor (4-7 years PQE as a guide) with 3+ years in a regulatory and/or product legal compliance role from a well-regarded private practice team or established in-house department Background in consumer-facing tech and/or digital media, or a solid understanding of these industries from private practice Deep understanding of laws relating to user generated content, in particular the Digital Services Act in the EU and the Online Safety Act in the UK, with experience advising on or analysing those laws preferred Previous experience of advising on the practical implementation of new laws You're able to work on a large number and variety of strategic projects and navigate ambiguous legal and regulatory environments You're able to work as a team player who can effectively work with, manage and coordinate colleagues, internal stakeholders and the business You have the highest standards of ethics and professional integrity You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and proficient in working closely with and advising senior executives of an organisation You are passionate about Bumble's mission and values #J-18808-Ljbffr
