Construction firm Based in either London or Leeds Hybrid working (1 day per week in the office) £70K-£80K + bonus + £5K car allowance The role: Providing commercially focused legal advice on a broad range of projects ensuring compliance with applicable law.
Reviewing, negotiating and/or drafting agreements and conducting contract negotiations with project counterparties primarily for construction, refurbishment and related services.
Supporting on commercial and contractual matters for tenders, projects, variations and on-going contractual and operational matters.
Assisting on the governance of transactions at local and group level.
Working closely with colleagues throughout the group and with customers.
Managing external legal resource as required.
Assisting in developing and delivering training on legal matters for colleagues across the business.
Requirements: Qualified Solicitor or Barrister Good knowledge of relevant areas of law including standard-form construction contracts, outsourcing, commercial and UK public procurement.
Knowledge of or an experience of the UK construction industry is required Strong drafting, negotiating and analytical skills.
Ability to draft and negotiate a variety of documentation including development, construction, consultants and services agreements.
