Job description Job responsibilities Cygnet Healthcare is looking for Learning Disabilities Support Worker (Nights) to join our team working at Marion House.
Youll be working42 hours a week(Nights from 07:45 pm till 08:00 am, includingalternative weekends), making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care atCygnet Marion House.
Marion House is a specialist 5-bed residential service for adults with autism and moderate to severe learning disabilities, who may have behaviours that challenge.
We aim to provide a safe, comfortable and effective environment, promoting independence and community integration.
Person-centred planning is at the heart of everything we do, based on each persons specific needs Marion house is based in Borrowash which is around a 10-15 minute drive from Derby City Centre with good links via local bus services.

NHS Blue Light Discount Card, Reward Gateway Fully Paid Training and Induction Paid Annual Leave Paid breaks Contributory pension scheme Regular staff events and team-building days Access to further career development Your role as a Support Worker at Marion House: Working from 07:45pm till 08:00am Working regular shift patterns (Week 1 Mon, Tues, Sat, Sun Week 2 Weds, Thurs, Fri) 42 hours per week Key Duties Promoting the health and wellbeing of the individuals we support Supporting with activities and daily living and allowing the individuals we support to remain as independent as possible.
Supporting with all aspects of personal care in a dignified manner Being able to remain calm in challenging situations The ability to make a difference to the lives of the individuals we support The ability to support residents on trips and activities out in the community What you will need: Previous experience working with adults with Autism and Challenging Behaviour.
A can do attitude and the ability to work well within a friendly staff team.
Knowledge and previous experience of using non-verbal communication techniques such as Makaton would be advantageous, however training on this will be provided.
Please note successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
