The Position The Surrey Cricket Foundation is seeking to appoint a Leagues Coordinator to support the delivery of recreational league cricket across Surrey.
The Leagues Coordinator will work predominantly to support adult league cricket in Surrey, supporting the administration linked with the Surrey Cricket Championship.
This will also include the planned integration of women's league cricket into the overall league structure by 2026.
The Coordinator will also support the day to day delivery of the Surrey Junior Cricket Championship, working alongside the Leagues Manager and other casual members of staff as and when necessary.
Requirements What you'll do Undertake a full review of the current administrative processes involved in the adult leagues currently supported, making and implementing recommendations that will reduce the administration involved through economies of scale, use of technology and so on Be the official point of contact for the league, keeping an overview of correspondence, checking for actions, replying to queries or signposting to committee members as necessary Issue official letters to clubs from the Exec committee e.g.
Unregistered players, poor pitch report etc Provide support in helping manage the ordering, distribution and finance associated with match balls for the various competitions within the league Oversee the reporting and fines processes involved in the Surrey Cricket Championship including (but not limited to) chasing post-game reports from the clubs as necessary, identifying rule breaches and issuing fines and chasing payment as necessary Arrange, organise and minute League Committee meetings, ensuring the timely distribution of accurate minutes and actions Lead the administration for any league grant funding opportunities.
Promote and collate grant applications, organise and minute grant decision meetings and issue grant offer letters Support with planning and coordination of the end of season celebration event, to include managing attendance, organising trophies, coordinating guest lists and table plans and assisting the committee with any other requirements Manage the administration of the Surrey Women's Cricket League as it transitions over to the Surrey Cricket Championship in 2025/2026.
Work with other members of the Foundation staff to ensure a smooth transition of the various elements that are required to administer women's league cricket in Surrey with a view to seeking to remove duplication and create more efficiencies across both league structures Support on a range of administration tasks, as identified by the Leagues Manager, to support with the smooth running of the Surrey Junior Cricket Championship Carry out other duties and responsibilities of a similar nature to those described above, which may be allocated from time to time as directed by the Line Manager The Person The successful candidate will have the following experience / skills / qualities:   Essential: Strong experience of working across multiple work streams at any one time Experienced and competent user of various IT programmes Strong organisation and planning skills Experience of delivering strong customer focus wanting to continually improve the service we offer Ability to identify and implement processes that reduce administrative overheads Ability to accurately record minutes of meeting Planning and organisation skills with the ability to be systematic, logical and pragmatic Good communication and interpersonal skills Good computer literacy, including MS Office Good attention to detail Willingness to work unsocialable hours as necessary Good time management skills Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team   Desirable: A keen interest and understanding of cricket Working knowledge of Play Cricket Previous involvement in a recreational cricket (or other sports) league Driving licence and access to transport Flexibility around working hours and locations within Surrey are vital to the success of this role.
A Satisfactory ECB DBS Check, First Aid, Safeguarding and the right to work in the UK will be required.
This role can be based at Kia Oval (London) or at George Abbot School (Guildford).
