Xpertise are looking for a Software Architecture Advisor (Consultant) in our clients Tech advisory Services practice, specialising in technology and software M&A due diligence.
In this role, you'll collaborate with expert consultants across competencies like Cloud and Cybersecurity, along with executive client stakeholders, to provide tech assessments and advisory across sectors such as Private Equity, High-Tech & Software, Healthcare, and Financial Services.
£120000-130000 + bonus sort of level.. You'll work hybrid, most weeks probably 2 days a week in an office be that with colleagues or client side which could include jumping on planes across Europe.
You'll continuously expand your expertise with advanced tools, platforms, and frameworks, as you support our tech M&A practice on strategic due diligence, post-merger integrations, and carve-out advisory projects.
Key Responsibilities: • Partner with internal consultants and stakeholders to address clients' M&A challenges through a comprehensive analysis of technology systems, software applications, team structures, and business processes.
• Evaluate software/technology landscapes within enterprise organisations to advise strategic investors on scaling, enhancing market readiness, and optimising operational costs.
• Analyse software architecture stacks (down to code level) to assess structural design and functionality.
• Review SDLC processes for best practices in security, risk management, and project management maturity.
• Craft strategic investment summaries and technology-based strategies, highlighting key risk mitigation and value creation for pre- and post-transaction projects.
• Bridge business strategy and technology to achieve transformative client outcomes.
• Stay current on technology trends and advise clients on innovative, disruptive solutions.
• Support business development by identifying unique opportunities and collaborating with client account managers.
Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field preferred.
• Previous consulting/industry experience is advantageous.
• 6-11+ years of experience in enterprise-level software development or architecture, ideally with expertise in Microsoft .Net, Java with J2EE, JavaScript (React, Angular), and/or other stacks like Python/Ruby/AWS.
• Proficiency in modern software design concepts (e.g., microservices, test-driven development, etc.)
and familiarity with both contemporary and legacy architectural patterns.
• Knowledge in application security, secure coding, DevSecOps, and secure SDLC is highly valued.
• Demonstrated success leading technical engagements, including proposal development, project estimation, and project management.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a comfort in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
• Excellent critical thinking, communication, and leadership abilities.
• Willingness to travel for client engagements across Europe as and when needed.
