Position Title: Lead Maintenance Technician Reference: London-2024-051-RA2 Location: U.S. Embassy London Annex in Croughton Closing Date: December 20, 2024 Work Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week Salary: £38,989 gross starting salary per annum Benefits: - Bi-weekly salary payments - Merit Based Compensation (Performance Related Pay awards) - Private Medical Insurance and Life Insurance Plans - U.S. Embassy Group Personal Pension Plan - Employee Assistance Program - Annual and Sick Leave - UK and U.S. paid public holidays - Season Ticket Loan (Transportation) - Training opportunities & personal development Working in the Facilities Services section of the U.S. Embassy London Annex in Croughton as the Lead Maintenance Technician, you will carry out scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance, and repair work on all U.S. Embassy London Embassy Annex compounds located at RAF Croughton.
Your duties will include: coordinating, managing and reporting on all maintenance activities required to maintain building infrastructure and property, such as but not limited to generators, chillers, compressors, fire pumps, boilers, and landscaping.
You will utilize your technical experience to survey, diagnose, maintain and repair London Annex facilities infrastructure, and/or utilize contractors expertise if the nature of the work warrants it.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED Applicants must address each required qualification listed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item.

EDUCATION : Completion of Secondary School is required and/or completion of vocational training from an accredited institute recognized as producing journeyman level technicians with a concentration in either HVAC, electrical, plumbing or diesel engine mechanic.
EXPERIENCE : Minimum of three (3) years of experience in facilities management, maintenance and operations, including oversight of contractors.
Demonstrated performance in applicant's specific professional vocation.
LANGUAGE : English - Good working knowledge; speaking, reading & writing ( this may be tested ).
SKILLS & ABILITIES : Must possess a valid, clean and full (manual) UK/EU/EEA drivers license and ability to drive manual and automatic transmission vehicles up to a 3.5 ton box van at time of point of hire.
