Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Late Shift Operator at Coker Engineering Ltd in Taunton.
As a Late Shift Operator you will be responsible for overseeing and operating CNC machinery, monitoring the production process, conducting quality checks, and ensuring productive output of manufactured parts.
The role will involve working on medium to high-volume production as well as technically challenging parts.
Familiarity with basic metrology equipment required, along with the ability to completely understand technical drawings & tolerances.

Late shift operators are expected to be multi-skilled, and fluid in their ability to move from section to section within the factory in line with our workload.
Training provided for those looking to skill up in areas they are not currently familiar with.
Qualifications Machine Operation, Monitoring, and work in progress inspection skills Experience in precision engineering or manufacturing industry Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Previous experience with CNC machining, with knowledge of NC language is a plus GCSE Maths B or above (or equivalent) Rate of pay dependent on experience, and suitability to the role - £28k to £34k, including shift premium.
Hours of work Mon-Thur 1430 - 0100 (4x 10hr shifts 1/2hr mandatory unpaid break).
